Simon Barnabé : Delegate to the World Science Forum 2015

Simon Barnabé, professor in the Département de chimie, biochimie et physique de l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and a CRMR member, will represent the Royal Society of Canada at the IAP Young Scientists event held in conjunction with the World Science Forum 2015. The event will take place in Budapest, Hungary, in November.

Professor Barnabé, who also holds the Industrial Research Chair in Environment and Biotechnology and is a joint holder of the industrial research chair in bioeconomy and regional bioenergy, was selected along with three other Canadian colleagues following an extensive evaluation process conducted by the IAP: global academies of science. The three other delegates are professors Kai Chan from the University of British Columbia and Damon Matthews of Concordia University and Ma’n H. Zawati, a doctoral student at the University McGill.
