This year again, the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics (FFGG), in collaboration with the SSF, the AFOR, the CEF, the CRMR and the CRDIG are organizing the faculty competition “My thesis in 180 seconds” which will take place during the Research Day of the Forest Science Week! This edition will take place online, on February 15th, starting at 5:00 pm.
The host of the evening will be Francis Roy, Full Professor and director of the Department of Geomatics.
Come and encourage the participants who will compete for the 3 cash prizes of $180 and the opportunity to represent the FFGG at the institutional competition of Université Laval! It is you, dear public, who will vote for the public’s favorite prize!
The three juries for this edition will be Éric Guilbert, Associate Professor in the Department of Geomatics, Émilie Saulnier-Talbot, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Alison D. Munson, Full Professor in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences. The juries will be responsible for scoring each of the nominees and judging their performance! They will award two of the three cash prizes.
Once again this year, two teachers will compete in the famous teachers’ duel! They are Justine Gagnon, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography & Stéphane Roche, Full Professor in the Department of Geomatics. The same rules will apply as for the students of the competition. The public will be invited to vote for one of the candidates.
