Laurence Picard will represent Université Laval at the francophone national finals of the Ma thèse en 180 secondes contest !

Very popular in many universities around the world, the My thesis in 180 seconds contest allows graduate students to demonstrate their communication and scientific popularization skills.

The 2021 finals of Université Laval’s “Ma thèse en 180 secondes” contest took place on April 29, 2021 in virtual format. Congratulations to Laurence Picard, a doctoral student in mechanical engineering under the direction of André Bégin-Drolet (FSG) and the co-direction of Pierre Blanchet (CIRCERB – FFGG), who will represent Université Laval at the national francophone finals to be held on June 15 with her flash presentation: “L’automatisation de la construction : Le futur”! Congratulations also to Solène Péllerin, a doctoral student in wood and bio-based materials engineering under the direction of Véronic Landry and Sophie Duquesne (Université de Lille), who took second place in the francophone UL final and won the audience award!
