IMPORTANT: Outreach worker at the FFGG – psychosocial support service

10 February 2022

We would like to inform you that the Faculty of Forestry, Geography and Geomatics (FFGG) now has an outreach worker, Geneviève Houde, as part of a pilot project operated by the Student Assistance Centre (Centre d’aide aux étudiants – CEA). The main goal of this project is to offer the student community psychosocial support services in order to promote their psychological well-being, mental health and academic success.

Geneviève’s role will be to support students who are going through a difficult period by offering them a personalized support service and by referring them, if necessary, to campus and external resources. Similarly, she will be able to support faculty staff in managing complex situations with students. Meetings with students are confidential, free of charge and are offered in person at her office or by videoconference via TEAM.
