CRMR annual symposium « Intersectoral synergy as a circular economy approach » – November 30, 2022, registration is required!

30 November 2022

The Centre for Research on Renewable Materials (CRMR) is pleased to invite all of its members to its annual symposium on « Intersectoral synergy as an approach to the circular economy».

This event will take place on November 30, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Gene-H.-Kruger Pavilion (room 2320-2330) of Université Laval in Quebec City.

The objective of this symposium is to bring together all members of the CRMR by creating a moment of exchange and meeting on the various research themes of the center which are:

  • Understanding and characterizing the renewable resource
  • Transforming the resource and conceiving eco-responsible products and systems
  • Using innovative products and systems and analyzing their environmental performance
  • Accessing the market

The symposium will begin with two conferences in a multidisciplinary program. The first will focus on the various aspects of the circular economy, presented by Jean-François Vermette of the Technology Transfer Centre in Industrial Ecology (TTCIE). The second conference will cover the use of recycled wood in the manufacture of particleboard and will be presented by Samuel Bedard from Tafisa. A poster session presenting the student projects will be held in the morning.  The day will be punctuated by several presentations by CRMR professors (Alain Cloutier and Évelyne Thiffault) and external guests. This will be followed by a round table discussion with professors from the CRMR and the FSAA (Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences), on the theme of the circular economy. The participation of the public will be welcomed, in the form of questions and comments, for both the conferences and the round table.

You will find a preliminary program of the symposium hereunder. More details regarding registration and participation in the poster session will be communicated later. For further information about this symposium, please contact Besma Bouslimi at the following email address: besma.bouslimi.1@ulaval.ca.

We look forward to seeing many of you there,
