CLE Symposium on Sustainable Forest Management

From 12 May to 13 May 2022

Leadership Chair in Education in Sustainable Management of Private Forests at Laval University is pleased to invite you to the conference « A forest of owners: incursion at the heart of private woodlots», to be held during the 89th edition of the ACFAS conference on May 12.

This symposium proposes an incursion into the heart of private forests around the theme of the forest management plan (FMP). In a broader, the objective of the symposium is to create a place for the scientific community to meet and exchange ideas with stakeholders working in private forests. This space for dialogue is necessary in order to fully integrate the private forest territory into the issues facing our society: climate change, wood supply, vitality of local communities, well-being of populations, etc.

The conference will take place on Thursday, May 12 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in virtual mode. The speakers, who come from both professional and academic backgrounds, will offer a multidisciplinary and original program. Registration is available on the ACFAS website. You can benefit from a preferential rate until March 31.

We invite you to register without delay in order to benefit from the preferential rate. Please share the event with your network and colleagues!

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

The organizing team,

Maude Flamand-Hubert, CLE holder in sustainable private forest management

Anne Bernard, postdoctoral fellow in forestry science
