180 seconds to convince: Laurence Picard will represent the FSG!

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSG) selection of the My Thesis in 180 Seconds (MT180) and Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competitions took place virtually on April 8.

This different edition of the My Thesis in 180 Seconds and Three Minute Thesis competitions required the 10 doctoral students to increase their persuasiveness tenfold in order to convince the jury members through their screen.

Presented by Acfas, the My Thesis in 180 Seconds (MT180) competition invites doctoral students to popularize their research project by presenting it clearly and concisely to the audience. The objective? To convey their interest and the credibility of their project in three minutes and using a single slide.

Laurence Picard (bottom left in the photo), a doctoral student in mechanical engineering, won over the jury with the presentation of her project entitled Development of a range of universal connectors for the industrialized construction industry.
