Mission

The primary mission of the Renewable Materials Research Centre (CRMR) is to provide training and conduct research in the field of solid wood and wood/non-woody fibre-based renewable products to meet present and future environmental and economic challenges.

The CRMR is a strategic alliance composed of scientists from four different universities (UQAC, UQTR, UQAT, U. Laval), four technical colleges (Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Rimouski, Trois-Rivières & Victoriaville), FPInnovations, Cecobois, Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec and Natural Resources Canada. There are currently 36 university and college based scientists, six indutrial scientists, two government scientists and over 150 graduate and postdoctoral students working within the CRMR.
